Knight's Town : Michelin's recommendations
The island's main village, accessible by ferry from the mainland in season, owes its name to one of its former nobles, the Knight of Kerry. Its only street leads up to the weather-boarded clock tower near the harbour. Located 4 km north of the church, along a steep and narrow road, is a grotto, created in a disused slate quarry. Views of Beginish Island can be enjoyed from the headland.
