Jameson Whiskey is distilled in this modern facility, built by Irish Distillers in 1975 next to the old 1825 distillery that operated in the 19C buildings, formerly a mill and barracks. The tour begins with an audio-visual presentation of the factory and ends with whiskey tasting. Irish whiskey is distilled three times and is smoother to the palate than Scotch, without the characteristic smoky flavour.
