St Macartan's Cathedral (Catholic) : Michelin's recommendations

This cathedral of the diocese of Clogher was built between 1859 and 1892 on a hill south-east of the city. In grey limestone, the building's decorated style is reminiscent of French Gothic churches. Outside, a spire 76m high soars above the splendid hammerbeam roof. The facade is decorated with statues of saints and bishops. Inside, the cathedral was restored after Vatican II.
