The 18C covered market in the square now houses the Tourist Information Office. The elegant Courthouse (Mount Street) dates from 1825. The gaol opposite was built at the same time, and public hangings were then held between these two buildings. All Saints Church (Anglican) was erected on the site of an Augustine Priory founded in 1227 by the Bishop of Meath, Ralph Le Petit.
