Portaferry Travel guide
Portaferry : Michelin's recommendations
Portaferry was a busy coastal town until the mid-19C and is now a yachting and sea angling resort. The waterfront facing Strangford across the narrow straight has two handsome Georgian houses, now the home to the Marine Biology Centre for Queen's University, Belfast. Portaferry Castle was probably built in the early 16C by the Savage family.
