Rostrevor : Michelin's recommendations
This attractive little town extends from its central square to the waterfront, and is sheltered enough to allow palm trees and mimosa to thrive. A nearby forest park has several walks through landscapes encompassing pine forests, a mountain stream, steep slopes, a great glacial boulder (Cloghmore), and a viewpoint high above Rostrevor Bay. On the opposite shore of the deep bay of Carlingford Lough, the mountains of the Cooley peninsula rise in the Republic of Ireland.
