Extensive observation facilities. The presence of sea urchins makes it inadvisable to paddle barefoot. Set among low hills, this marine nature reserve containing unpolluted salt water is home to a unique ecosystem. Over 60 species have been recorded. From the north bank of the lough a footpath leads to a prominent viewpoint in the forest providing extensive panoramas of the area.
