This unusual structure was designed in 1730 by Richard Castle. The apse and the windows were replaced during remodelling in the Gothic style in 1812. A brass tablet (north transept) commemorates W. B. Yeats' mother, Susan, who was married in the church. The tomb of her father, William Pollexfen, is near the main gates.
