Templetown Mausoleum : Michelin's recommendations

Sarah Upton had a mausoleum built in the walled cemetery in memory of her husband, Arthur. It was designed by Robert Adam in Palladian style in around 1770 and has plaques commemorating the Uptons who received the title of Viscounts of Templetown. To the south of the mausoleum is the resting place of Josias Walsh (1598- 1634), the vicar of Templepatrick from 1622 to 1634; he was the grandson of the famous reformist, John Knox.
