This five-storey windmill (18m high) was built around 1800 by the local landowner, Sir Rowland Blennerhassett. It became derelict by 1880, but is again in working order. An electric motor takes over when the wind fails. The exhibition on emigration in the adjoining building illustrates the experience of thousands of Irishmen when leaving their country for America in the 19C.
