Leaving from Mulrany, Atlantic Drive leads to Achill Island. Once past the bridge and Achill Sound, the road follows the southern coast, where one of Grace O'Malley's dungeons stands. A little before Cashel is the turn-off for Minaun Heights (464m), a hill affording unique panoramic views over the whole island. Once back on Atlantic Drive, if you go around the Minaun, follow the direction of Trawmore Strand, a beach nestling at the foot of the cliffs, frequented by a few dolphins.
