Ballycrovane Ogham Stone : Michelin's recommendations

The pretty little port of Ballycrovane is home to the country's largest Ogham stone. Standing 5.18m tall, it is covered with Ogham. This primitive Celtic writing, which was used between the 4C and 7C, consists of a series of lines engraved on stones, through or on either side of a central line. Its name derives from Ogmios, the Celtic god of eloquence.
