Bunratty Castle Recommended Recommended : Michelin's recommendations

A castle stands on the banks of Bunratty River near the mouth of the Shannon Estuary, guarding the main route between Limerick and Ennis. This fortified residence, built in 1460, was restored to its 16C appearance during the 1950s. It houses the Gort Collection, a collection of 14C-17C furniture and tapestries. Medieval evening banquets are sometimes held in the Great Hall which has a magnificent oak ceiling.

    Pros
