On his lakeside estate, historian John Hunt has rebuilt several prehistoric structures: a circular fort, a togher (wooden walkway across marshland), a hearth and a crannog (artificial island). Also on show is the Brendan, a replica of the wood and hide boat used to traverse the Atlantic by St Brendan in the 6C, plus a collection of historic objects on show in a restored fortified house.
