Dromore Wood National Nature Reserve (400 ha) encompasses a variety of habitats including lakes, river, marsh and a semi-natural forest, as well as a variety of human dwellings, notably the ruins of O'Brien Castle (17C). A guidebook, dedicated to species such as the grey heron, badger and pine marten, which live around the two marked trails, is available to visitors at the reception area.
