The gorge is so deep and so well screened by trees that the Glenoe Waterfall is audible before it is visible. The river falls in a double cascade into a deep pool before flowing on under an old stone bridge through the village, which is now preserved by the National Trust.

Worth the trip at anyime but in springtime the fall is at its most spectacular.
