Here visitors can discover a Mesolithic camp site, an old Irish farmstead, a portal dolmen, a cist (a box-shaped burial chamber made from stone slabs), a monastery from the early Christian period, an Ogham stone; a crannóg (an artificial island protected by a palisade.)
