The Irish Palatine Heritage Centre, located in a former stationmaster's house which was moved and rebuilt, exhibits photographs, documents, arms, household utensils, as well as other larger items recalling the arrival of Protestant settlers from the Rhineland Palatinate in the Rathkeale region in the early 18C, including their innovative agricultural methods, contribution to Methodism and dispersal through the English-speaking world.
