The agricultural writer Arthur Young stayed in Leslie Hill in 1778 and devoted no less than 18 pages in his Visit to Ireland to the advanced agricultural practices applied here. The buildings and tools, dating from different periods, give an image of the development of the farm and a little museum contain a fascinating collection of objects including the remains of the heating system used to grow peach trees.
