Murlough Bay National Nature Reserve
Murlough Bay National Nature Reserve : Michelin's recommendations
Sheltered from the wind by the headland, Fair Head (Benmore), at the foot of vertiginously sheer cliffs, Murlough Bay is the loveliest on the coast of Antrim. Steep grassy paths growing with birch and moutain ash trees climb up from the shore. A waymarked path starts at the upper car park and follows the summit of the cliff to Cape Fair, from where there are magnificent views of Rathlin Island (to the north) and the Mull of Kintyre in Scotland (to the northeast).
