The visitor centre presents the history of an Irish-Scots plantation belonging to the Simpson family (that of US President Ulysses Simpson Grant), and the links between Ulster and America. The 17C house was restored in 1978 to its mid-19C state. On the other side of the road, there are fields with linen pastures.
