What it lacks in stylistic unity, the cathedral makes up for in majesty and is best admired from Via Principe Umberto. A neo-Classical pronaos was added to the façade that gives onto the little Piazza del Duomo in the 19C. The oldest parts (octagonal bell tower, apse) are in the Late Catalan Gothic style and date from the 16C. The interior with three naves has a flooring with a two-coloured lozenge motif, a heart surrounded by five chapels, an octagonal dome and a marble high altar dating from 1727.
