Ancona : Michelin's recommendations

The main town of the Marche region, founded in the 4C BC, is built in the form of an elbow (ankon), on a rocky headland. Ancona was an independent maritime republic in the Middle Ages and has retained that era's strong naval tradition as its port now serves Croatia and Greece. The town is also renowned for its production of accordions, as well as guitars and the latest electronic organs.
