Caprera is connected to La Maddalena by a 600m-long bridge (Moneta quarter). With its 34km of coastline and an area of 15.75km2 it is the archipelago's second largest island: it is also its most stunning, boasting beautiful landscapes and a rich variety of flora. During the transhumance, you can see shepherds moving their flocks to new pastures, and the island is also home to a prestigious sailing school. The island's northeastern side is grandiose, with cliffs dropping dramatically into the sea and Cala Coticcio, a spectacularly beautiful cove.
