Belluno : Michelin's recommendations

This pretty little town in the Veneto stands on a spur at the confluence of the Piave and Ardo rivers, surrounded by high mountains. An independent commune in the Middle Ages, Belluno came under the protection of the Venetian Republic in 1404. The town has retained some fine Renaissance houses and palaces, making it a pleasant place for a stroll.
