Built in 1199, this is Italy's oldest communal palace. The current building was erected in the 16C. Its central balcony surmounted by the Lion a Saint Mark (a symbol of Venetian dominance) dominates its arcades and balanced trefoil windows. A covered stairway (from the 14C) takes you to the majestic 12C belfry, which bears a 15C clock.
