Built from pink sandstone and roofed with multicoloured tiles, this cathedral is the result of several periods of construction spanning the palaeo-Christian, Carolingian, Romanesque and Gothic periods. The campanile, built in the 16C and rising to a height of 62m, is embellished with late-Gothic bays. On the right-hand side, note the small wine portal, decorated with features relating to vines and the grape harvest. The church used to have the exclusive right to sell wine at this doorway.
