Church of San Pellegrino : Michelin's recommendations
This oratory, located 500m above the hamlet of Bominaco, is decorated with 13C frescoes, whose detailed, yet rather childlike portrayal is somewhat reminiscent of today's naive art. The church also houses two delightful "Calendario bominacense", depicting courtly scenes.

Pros
If this church were in Tuscany or Umbria, it would be packed with visitors. As it's in Abruzzo you have a chance of having it to yourself. The frescoes are superb and I can only imagine the single star given reflects the fact that it must have been given without a visit.
