It was Phillipe d'Anjou and his wife Colette de Valois who took the initiative to have this superb church built in the 14C. It is a superb example of transition Romanesque-Gothic architecture. The façade is animated by the geometric interplay of two-tone inlaid work, and is distinguished by its canopy decorated with Lombard arcadings. Inside, there is a cycle of frescoes of Byzantine inspiration, including a last judgement (on the inside of the façade).
