The modern city is dominated by the old town whose streets and palazzi recall the prosperity of the Angevin and Aragonese periods, when Cosenza was considered the artistic and religious capital of Calabria. Step back in time in this historic district, where the 12C-13C cathedral still houses the mausoleum containing the heart of Isabella of Aragon.
