Fabriano : Michelin's recommendations
The industrial town of Fabriano has been renowned since the Middle Ages for its paper manufacturers. It was also the birthplace of two artists: Allegretto Nuzi (c 1320-73), the main exponent of the Fabriano School, and Gentile da Fabriano (c 1370-1427), a leading exponent of the Italian International Gothic style, in the tradition of Pisanello and Jacopo Bellini.
