Housed in a completely restored 17C convent, the collection was accumulated by Amedeo Lia,who amassed over 1 100 works over his lifetime, and then donated to the city. The works date from Roman times to the 18C displayed according to theme; exhibits include major sections on ivory, enamels, crosses and devotional objects, a beautiful series of illuminated manuscripts, paintings, glass and rock crystal.
