The work of several architects and representative of the Lecce Baroque style of the 16C-17C. The façade with its sumptuous upper section precedes a long narrow and bright interior which is similar to the style used in Florence by Briunelleschi. It has a Baroque decorative scheme which is finely worked and extremely lavish. In the chapel at the end of the north aisle there is a lovely high altar with bas-reliefs carved by Francesco Antonio Zimbalo.
