Lignano Sabbiadoro : Michelin's recommendations
The largest resort in the Friuli region, Lignano lies on a long, sandy peninsula covered with pine trees, which closes off part of the Marano lagoon, a fishing reserve. Its gently sloping, sandy beach facing the coastline of Istria (often visible in the distance) provides safe bathing and makes this one of the most popular family seaside resorts in the region. It is divided into three districts: Lignano Sabbiadoro, Lignano Pineta and Lignano Riviera.
