Leonardo da Vinci's masterpiece, The Last Supper was painted on the wall of the refectory in the convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie and can be seen by appointment only. It depicts the moment when the Disciples react in horror to Jesus' declaration that one of them will betray him. Marvel at this intriguing work of art, the emotion displayed by the Disciples, and the controversy that surrounds the mural.
Begin your afternoon with a bus tour past the city's most famous buildings and monuments, stopping at the ducal residence of Castello Sforzesco to explore its sprawling grounds. Follow your guide on foot into the historical centre, visiting the city's florid gothic cathedral Il Duomo. Stroll through the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, an elegant steel and glass shopping arcade, to reach Piazza della Scala for a tour of the city's famous theatre.

Commentary in Italian is available on Sunday (9:30 AM only). This tour includes nearly 2 hours of walking. Participants are admitted to see The Last Supper for 15 minutes. The Duomo may be closed to the public during religious ceremonies. Appropriate dress is required for the visit of the Duomo. The Teatro della Scala may be closed for performances. Children aged 4 and younger participate free of charge. Food and beverages are not included.
