The charming little Sansevero chapel was built in the 16C but its interior was entirely reworked in the 18C in an exuberant Baroque style. It was the funerary chapel of the princes of Sangro. In spite of their beauty, the frescoes and paintings that decorate the walls are overshadowed by the surprising sculptures, in particular Modesty, the Despair and the magnificent Veiled Christ by Giuseppe Sammartino.
