This little seaside resort with multicoloured façades was very much in fashion at the start of the 20C. The superb Promenade Anita Garibaldi starts at the little port and runs along the coastline above the rocks. On the other side of the promenade are the parks belonging to three old villas that today house Nervi's museums: the Wolfsoniana, devoted to decorative arts and design (1880-1945); the Galleria d’Arte Moderna, which displays the work of 19C and early 20C Italian artists; and the Raccolte Frugone, which brings together the work of Italian artists active between 1860 and 1930.
