Oristano : Michelin's recommendations

Nestling among palm trees, jasmine and wisteria, the town of Oristano is dotted with medieval towers and brightly tiled domes. Stroll through the old town with its buildings of stone, brick and wrought iron, and take time to visit Santa Maria Assunta cathedral and the Antiquarium Arborense museum, which houses artefacts from the archaeological site of Tharros. Oristano also makes a good base for trips to the nearby lagoons, the Arborea and Sinis plains and to Bosa, the jewel of the province.
