Orta San Giulio and its surroundings

By car, 17 km, 1 day

Separated from Lake Maggiore by Mount Mottarone, which overlooks it to the north-east, Lake Orta is one of the smallest in the region, but one of the most charming, too, with its wooded slopes and tiny San Giulio island. An ideal site for relaxation, and one even more suited, perhaps, to meditation.
