Pantelleria : Michelin's recommendations
Pantelleria is the capital of the island of the same name. Its houses, rebuilt after the Second World War, huddle around the harbour whose main landmark is the Castello Barbacane. This was probably founded in Roman times and has been rebuilt on numerous occasions. The castle owes its present fortified appearance to Frederick II of Swabia.
