A rich doorway is characteristic of this Romanesque Lombard style church consecrated in 1132. In the chancel lies St Augustine (354-430), in a tomb by the maestri campionesi, those workers from the Lugano region and the Lombardy Lakes who played such an important role in the birth of Romanesque art in Italy.
