    This palace was intended for parties and has walls and ceilings richly decorated by Bernardino Campi (1522-1591) and his pupils. The great gallery at 96 metres is one of the longest built during the Renaissance.

    This exhibits the Golden Fleece. Philip the Good, Duke of Burgundy, instituted this order in 1429. Philip II conferred it on Vespasian Gonzaga to repay him for his services. It was rediscovered in 1988 inside his tomb in the church of the Incoronata.
