Saluzzo Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

Saluzzo is the birthplace of the patriot and writer Silvio Pellico (1789-1854) and of the general Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa (1920-82), whose assassination in Palermo triggered a national wave of indignation against the Mafia. It is a pleasant little town with a medieval centre fanned out on a hillside, where visitors can enjoy strolling around its alleyways and cobbled flights of steps, while admiring local shops selling woodwork and wrought-iron handicrafts.
