Scilla
: Michelin's recommendations
This village owes its name to Greek mythology: Scylla is the sea monster that devoured six of Ulysses's companions. The fishermen's quarter, Chianalèa, is a tangle of houses and passages that comes to an end only when it meets the sea. Higher up, Ruffo Castle (1255) surveys the scene with a noble and reassuring air. Here, as at Bagnara Calabra, the locals fish for swordfish.
