Acate : Michelin's recommendations

Formerly called Biscari, this small town 15km west of Comiso takes its current name from the semi-precious stone agate, which is commonly found in the area. Acate was the stronghold of the princes of Paterno-Castello, who built a huge manor house in the town centre. Also of interest is San Vincenzo church, which still houses the remains of this martyred saint.
