Villa Cattolica
Villa Cattolica : Michelin's recommendations
This huge quadrangular villa, built in 1736 by Giuseppe Bonanni Filangeri, Prince of Cattolica, is now home to the Renato Guttuso municipal gallery of modern and contemporary art. Its collection includes works by the painter and his artist friends. The most outstanding pieces were donated by Renato Guttuso himself to the town of his birth in 1973. In the garden, note the Camera dello Scirocco (an artificial cave) and the tomb of the artist, designed by his friend Giacomo Manzù.
