Barrafranca : Michelin's recommendations

The ochre houses of this village, formerly called Convicino, are grouped together on a hillside. A street lined with elegant town houses, such as Palazzo Satariano and Palazzo Mattina, leads to the village. Sights of interest in the village include the Chiesa Madre with a bell tower crowned by a small dome covered with polychrome tiles; an 18C building which once accommodated small shops (Putieddi); and Maria Santissima della Stella church with its tall campanile topped by a majolica spire.
