Built in a natural amphitheatre in a magnificent setting, this small town stands on a rock studded with caves. It is thought to have been founded by the Arabs, and boasts a fine Chiesa Madre (main church), as well as a Norman tower adorned with interesting bas-reliefs.

Quite damaged unfortunately, this 11C Norman tower has conserved some interesting low-reliefs and provides an extremely attractive view over Enna (castle and belvedere) and over Pergusa lake further down.
