Camarina : Michelin's recommendations
Camarina was originally a Greek city founded by Siracusa. The city was attacked many times by the Carthaginians and Romans, who finally destroyed it in 598 BC. Excavations of the city have revealed the remains of a temple dedicated to Athena, parts of the decumanus (main street) with the agora and portico of the covered market, as well as a residential quarter dating from the Hellenistic period.
