Cefalù : Michelin's recommendations

Enjoying an exceptional location, Cefalu began life as a small fishing village perched between the sea and a limestone promontory. Its name originates from the Greek kephaloidion (meaning “head” or “chief”). The town reached its peak under the Normans, particularly during the reign of Roger II, who began construction of the cathedral. This fine building is surrounded by a maze of picturesque alleyways.
